A public interest litigation was filed in the Supreme Court seeking a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) inquiry into the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
On this the supreme court refused to hear. Meanwhile, the Cavite has also been filed in the supreme court on behalf of the actor’s family, requesting a hearing on Rhea Chakraborty’s plea before making any order.
Bihar Police has also been involved in the investigation of Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. A police team has also reached Mumbai for this. The statements of Sushant’s sister Mitu Singh and his friend Krishna Shetty have also been recorded in this case. Meanwhile, many of Sushant’s fans and many Bollywood stars have also demanded a CBI inquiry into the matter. However the Maharashtra government has refused to hand it over to the CBI.
A petition was also issued in the Supreme Court regarding this, in which an appeal was given from Mumbai Police to the CBI to direct the investigation of the case. But the supreme court on Thursday refused to hear the petition. A bench of Chief Justice SA Bobde, Justice AS Bopanna and Justice V Ramasubramanian said that let the Mumbai police conduct their own investigation.
