Sweet Home 2: 3 things to keep in loop from Season 1

Here’s a brief overview of Sweet Home’s first season to help you refresh your memory and begin the second season with the first in mind, as the second season will be released on Netflix very soon.

Sweet Home is a gripping, graphic, and action-packed post-apocalyptic series centered on Cha Hyun Su, played by actor Song Kang, and based on the webtoon of the same name. Cha Hyun Su, who lives in Unit 140 of a dilapidated apartment building, suffered the tragic loss of his family in an automobile accident. He must endure a dangerous position while a monster apocalypse erupts, along with the other apartment dwellers.

As the narrative goes on, Cha Hyun Su contracts the enigmatic plague along with a large number of other residents.

Here are 3 things you need to keep in loop before binge-watching the fresh season.

How does Pyeon Sang Wook revives at the closure of Season 1?

When Pyeon Sang Wook (Lee Jin Wook) is discovered alive, Sweet Home Season 1 ends on a dramatic cliffhanger, leaving fans confused. Despite suffering severe injuries, Pyeon Sang Wook, a contract killer with burn scars on his face, tries to live throughout the season. Fans are stunned by his alleged death scene, but he reappears in the military vehicle with Hyun Su when the latter turns himself in to the army.

Will the military be of any help?

As demonstrated in season 1, the military conducted tests on humans with hidden agendas in the hopes of curing this illness. However, it was eventually discovered that it is truly a curse rather than a sickness.

The Green Home inhabitants manage to escape the building and are saved by the armed forces. As she surreptitiously searches for her fiance’s whereabouts, a former warrior among the inhabitants named Seo Yi Kyung (Lee Si Young) learns of the military’s Operation Golden Hour, in which they torture innocent civilians. When the play comes to a conclusion, Seo Yi Kyung leaves the building’s occupants and joins the special forces to carry out her objective.

Is there a way to differentiate good monsters from the bad ones?

Everybody is afraid of the various animals that prowl the city because of their horrifying attacks. However, season 1 demonstrated that certain monsters are not inherently vicious, such as the slimy green creature and the fetal monster, which do no harm to kids. These occurrences suggest that not all monsters are interested in taking human lives.

Furthermore, Cha Hyun Su, the main character, does not act aggressively after contracting the infection. However, the monster Cha Han Su can revert to his natural state when a neighbor tries to appease him. This suggests that the monsters might be subdued or impacted by a deed of kindness or dealt with emotionally.
