On Saturday, Payal Ghosh took to Twitter, claiming that the “Gangs of Wasseypur” director Anurag Kashyap was sexually inappropriate towards her. But the director refuting the rumors said that the allegation imposed by her is completely absurd. Perhaps to support the filmmaker, Taapsee Pannu came in support of him and stated that he is the ‘biggest feminist’ she knows. Sharing an image of her walking while holding Anurag’s shoulder, Taapsee wrote on Instagram, “For you, my friend, are the biggest feminist I know. See you on the sets soon of yet another piece of art that shows how powerful and significant women are in the world you create.”
Not only Taapsee but also Tisca Chopra and Surveen Chawla, have come out in support of the director. After Payal Ghosh accused him of sexual harassment. In fact, Sinha also said that that the #MeToo movement is to raise the voices of harassed women and it should not be misused. It is the joint responsibility of women and men both to carefully protect the sanctity of #Metooindia.
On the other hand claming the allegations baseless and taking a did at Payal. Anurag also tweeted “Such a long time was taken to shut me up, never mind. (But) while shutting me up, you lied so much that you dragged other women also in it. Please maintain some dignity madam. All I will say is that all your allegations are baseless,”
