The Indian delegation in the Asian Games 2023 dazzled everyone with their outstanding performances and concluded with an unprecedented haul of 107 medals. It included 41 bronze medals, 38 silver medals, and 28 gold medals—a competition record for India. It also had 38 silver medals and 38 bronze medals.
On Sunday, India’s total number of medals passed the 50-mark. In the men’s 1000m steeplechase final, Avinash Sable set a Games record time, while Tajinderpal Singh Toor effectively defended his shot put gold. In the men’s team trap, the third gold was won.
On Day 6 of the Asian Games, Indians won a handful of medals and were guaranteed of many more.
The rowing performance on Sunday was pretty excellent, and Thanjam Priya Devi & Rukmani will be competing in the W8+ final in hopes of winning a medal.
