Fans will soon be able to see Ramayan, a well-liked Hindi TV programme, again on small screen. According to Shemaroo TV, the mythology programme will start broadcasting on the channel on July 3. In the 1980s television programme, Sunil Lahiri played Lakshman, while Arun Govil and Dipika Chikhlia respectively played the main characters of Ram and Sita.
After being prohibited due to a controversy surrounding Adipurush dialogues in which Goddess Sita is referred to as “India’s daughter,” Hindi film screenings resumed across the nation on Friday. Except for “Adipurush,” which is still prohibited, numerous movie theatres in Kathmandu have started showing Hindi films.
Prabhas plays Raghav (Ram), Kriti Sanon plays Janaki (Sita), and Saif Ali Khan plays Lankesh (Raavan) in Om Raut’s Adipurush. The T-Series-produced movie debuted in theatres on June 16. It has received harsh criticism for using such simple terminology.
Arun Govil, who played Lord Ram in Ramanand Sagar’s popular television series Ramayan, has offered his opinion on Om Raut’s Adipurush. In reference to the updated version of his own TV programme, which is based on the epic Ramayana, he has dubbed the movie “Hollywood ki cartoon.”
