A 17-year-old’s conversation with her father about removing her hijab off got viral on social media. Lamyaa Alshehri, a Pennsylvania resident was prompted to talk to her dad about her hijab after someone texted her saying that her dad would get mad at her if she took it off.
Lamyaa decided to talk to her father and his response is winning hearts on Twitter. since being posted on Twitter on April 15, she has received over 3.2 lakh ‘likes’ and more than 1.4 lakh retweets.
Lamyaa was a part of a social media group, where a discussion was going on about “Trump and Islam”. Someone mocked Lamyaa and said that is she doesn’t wear hijab, her father won’t spare her. Here’s the screenshot of that message:
