The 4th season of The Crown, Netflix’s drama about the reign of Queen Elizabeth II, dropped in 2020. It was set during the 1980s and introduced us to Lady Diana Spencer and Margaret Thatcher, two individuals who had a big impact on the decade.

The show should have six 10-episode seasons, however, when The Crown maker Peter Morgan was writing the 5th season, he concluded it was “the perfect time and place to stop.”

- Prince Edward, the youngest child of the Queen, will be portrayed by Sam Woolf.
- Khalid Abdalla, who was in the film “Moon Knight,” will portray Dodi Fayed, Princess Diana’s partner.
- Mohammed Al-Fayed, Dodi’s dad, will be portrayed by Salim Dau, who is from Oslo.
- Andrew Havill from “Downton Abbey” portrays Robert Fellowes, the private secretary to the Queen.
