Millions were shocked when they came to know about Amarjeet Sada. A boy was born in 1998 in a small village in Bihar, India. He holds the chilling title of the world’s youngest serial killer. When he was just eight years old, Amarjeet took the lives of three innocent infants, including his baby sister. His story is both terrifying and tragic, raising many eyebrows. How could a child commit such a crime?
It all started when the terrifying events began in 2007 in a small village called Mushahar. During this time a mother reported her six-month-old daughter missing. After a desperate search, the infant was found dead, buried not far from the village. The discovery of the baby’s body was a shock to the community, but what came next was even more horrifying. Because an eight-year-old boy from the same village confessed that he was the one who killed the babies. He said to the villagers that he had strangled the baby. He even led them to the spot where he had hidden her body. This admission came just hours after the infant was found, sending waves of fear and disbelief through the community.
But the horror didn’t stop there. As the investigation continued, more accusations surfaced against Amarjeet. He not only killed the six-month-old baby but also his sister, who was eight months old, and a cousin who was just nine months old. Undoubtedly these things are disturbing, as everyone though about a young boy’s unimaginable cruelty.
Amarjeet’s shocking statement
When the police took Amarjeet into custody, they found out that he suffered from psychiatric disorders. However, what made this case even more haunting were Amarjeet’s own words. He allegedly admitted, “She was sleeping in the school. I took her a little away, killed her with a stone, and buried her.” He also added, “I took her away and I killed her with a brick. I didn’t feel that much excitement when I tried strangling her because she wasn’t fighting back. So that’s why I chose the brick.” Amarjeet was under 18 hence he couldn’t be sentenced to prison or receive the death penalty.
The young killer was placed in a remand home in the nearby town of Munger. He was kept there until he turned 18, after which he was released. Currently, Amarjeet Sada is around 23 years old and there is not much information about him. Reports suggest that he was released when he was 16 and now lives under a new identity. But the eerie legacy he left behind still makes everyone worried. And a thing to be discussed.
Amarjeet’s case not only became the topic of discussion but also highlighted several important issues, particularly around mental health and the judicial system, especially when it involves children. Psychologists and criminologists continue to study his case to understand the reasons behind his actions and to find ways to prevent such tragedies in the future. Not only does Amarjeet Sada’s action show the darker sides of human nature. But also left a permanent mark on his village and has become a chilling part of criminal history.
