Two young, handsome business graduates from Sweden, namely Hampus and Johan are trying hard to make it into Bollywood.
With a graduate degree in a stream as good as business, the two decided to travel to India to pursue a dream that most people didn’t really understand. Most of their friends and relatives are into business, banks and insurance companies, but they decided to try their luck in Bollywood!
Narrating their journey from Sweden to Mumbai, they said: “We are born and brought up in Sweden and have always been crazy about acting. We thought of getting into movies and decided to try our luck in Bollywood movies, because it is one of the biggest. We loved the songs, the love story, the drama in the films. One fine day, I (Johan) decided to come to Mumbai. I discussed it with my family. Initially, they were hesitant and thought I was joking. But when they realized I was serious, they totally supported me. I spoke to Hampus, and he too was excited about it. He decided to join me for the journey.”
“Our friends thought we were crazy. A lot of our friends from business school told us that by moving to India like this will spoil our chances of having a good career in Sweden.”

“And though people, especially foreigners have cribbed about how India as a country is, we have had a lot of fun. We haven’t cribbed about it and are enjoying every bit of our stay. Now that we are getting work too, we plan to settle here only. It has been a great eight months and time has just gone by in a whiff. We are so happy here that we have asked our families to visit us soon, which they will be doing.”
It seems that when Indians are busy getting their passports and visa ready to settle down in other countries, their are some foreigners who understand and enjoy the opportunities which India offers!!
