After a lengthy four-year wait, The Nun 2 is prepared to carry on Valak’s terrifying story in the ninth entry of The Conjuring series. The trailer for the next movie has been revealed, and Taissa Farmiga, best known for her role as Sister Irene in the Conjuring movies, is making a comeback. Bonnie Aarons, Storm Reid, Anna Popplewell, and Jonas Bloquet all accompany her. The film is a continuation of the 2018 movie The Nun.
In the caravan, a young girl who witnesses a priest’s murder in 1956 is brought back in time for us. She is heard saying, “I feel there is something here that’s not meant to be.” The trailer then features Sister Irene, played by Taissa. A priest then avers, “This demon was once an angel, rejected by God.”
The synopsis of the film read, “1956 – France. A priest is murdered. An evil is spreading. The sequel to the worldwide smash hit follows Sister Irene as she once again comes face-to-face with Valak, the demon nun.”
The Nun 2 was directed by Michael Chaves, who also handled The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It. Ian Goldberg and Richard Naing wrote the screenplay.Richard Brener, Dave Neustadter, Victoria Palmeri, Gary Dauberman, Michael Clear, Judson Scott, and Michael Polaire are the producers of the movie.
With over $2 billion in worldwide movie office receipts, The Conjuring Universe has been one of the most lucrative horror franchises ever. With a worldwide gross of more than $366 million, The Nun is the franchise’s highest-grossing movie. The motion picture will debut on September 8.
