Rajkummar Rao is so versatile in his acting skills that he completely gets into the skin of the character he plays. When Vikramaditya Motwane’s Trapped released in the theater viewers could feel the agony of a trapped man and forgot that the actor was portraying the story of a fictional man.
And now this actor has done it once again. This time it is Dinesh Vijan’s Raabta, where he will be seen playing a role of a 324-year-old man. Maybe you have already seen him in Raabta’s trailer but definitely, you didn’t recognize him. “Rajkummar was kind enough to do me a favor. It was tedious but, he patiently sat through it every day. I think, the idea of the prosthetics making him completely unrecognizable excited him as an actor,” said Dinesh Vijan.
Not only was his face transformed by prosthetics but he was worked upon body posture and voice modulation. Just to get into his character he went under five to six hours of make-up that included wearing prosthetics every day. In addition to that, his styling was important. He had to wear accessories and also have tattoos. Rajkummar said: “It was so much fun as an actor. Dinoo (Dinesh) has a very clear vision as a director and he gave me a lot of freedom as an actor to explore.” Let’s hope his efforts are worth watching and we too are eagerly waiting to see him transform into a 324 year-old-man.
