Social media is really on blast these days, especially with the Tanmay Bhat and Salman Khan controversy but it looks like these were not enough, therefore, Sushma Swaraj, the minister of external affairs, India, also lit an illogical controversy.
This is what she tweeted for calming the ‘Afro-phobia’ outrage in the country:
I appeal to fellow Indians. Next time you meet an African citizen, pl shake hand and say 'India loves you'.
— Sushma Swaraj (@SushmaSwaraj) June 2, 2016
But this is what she got in return:
@SushmaSwaraj sure madam, also do appeal to fellow bhakts: next time you meet a Muslim or a Dalit, pl shake hand and say 'India loves you'.

.@SushmaSwaraj Please also appeal to Delhiites that next time they see a Northeastern person, say, "Delhi loves you".

It looks like that the Twitterati really didn’t have any limits
.@SushmaSwaraj African citizen? Africa is not a country

.@SushmaSwaraj I appeal to the BJP. Next time you meet a member of the LGBT community, pl shake hand and say 'India loves you'.

And sarcasm, it looks like there were really no limits

But still no problem, even after these much backfires we all know what she really wanted to say.
