This Man is grabbing all the attention on Social Media for his petition to Ban Vegetables on Bakr-Eid, a festival hugely celebrated by all the muslim community by sacrificing Goats as a ritual. While most of the muslims were rattled by the ban on beef in various parts of the country, this man now wants a ban on vegetables this Bakr-Eid.
Faisal Falal is a bengalurur based filmmaker who has launched a petition right before the muslim festival seeking a ban on vegetables which could be blow to the vegetarian community.
“I’d like to call for a ban across the country on vegetables of all kinds of Bakr-Eid. Because plants have feelings too.”
He also puts forth arguing that if muslims could go on a month-long fast then vegetarians could possibly do it for a day!
“If you are someone who is a vegetarian who doesn’t eat anything but the offshoot of plants, I bet you can starve for a day. Fasting is good for you. We do it for a month every year,” he said.
The petition is somehow also being supported by the vegetarians who stood against the beef ban as it against the principles of democratic India. The petition till date has received 1148 endorsements and needs only 352 more people to sign it for its success.
“If the demand of banning vegetable consumption is unreasonable my alternative demand is that everyone in the country, irrespective of religious beliefs partakes in the consumption of mutton (biryani) on that day. You can come over to my house. I don’t mind sharing. We have lots,” Says Falal.
