Organ trafficking is the thing which boils the blood of everyone but this time, no small or illegal hospital committed this crime but the famous Indraprastha Apollo hospital in New Delhi have admitted that it used to remove kidneys for organ trafficking on Saturday.
Due to high medical bills, poor people easily used to get trapped in a criminal gang’s bait, whose two workers at the hospital used to sell their kidney’s at the price up tp 300,000 rupees and make their profits.
As in the country, organ donations to non-relatives also require the permission of a special committee, the gang used to apply fake documents to impersonate the victims as the relatives of transplant receivers.
In some cases, the victims even came from the state of Tamil Nadu and West Bengal to get their kidneys removed. “We detected five cases of organ sale this year. We have arrested five men and seized fake ID proofs, CDs, files, and documents,” a police officer said.
Due to the seriousness of the matter, the AAP government has decided to set up a five-member panel to investigate this matter and take necessary steps to stop organ trafficking in the country.
