Once again Maharashtra is struggling hard after incessant rain. In a recent development, six people were killed and 20 went missing after the Tiware dam in Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra breached causing a flood-like situation in seven villages.

The capacity of the dam is 0.08 TMC. 12 houses that were adjacent to the dam destroyed. For rescue of the people, a team of NDRF has been sent to Tiware dam, Ratnagiri, Maharashtra.
Civil administration, police, and volunteers are working at the site. The massive rains in the state are creating havoc and making life difficult for people. The city received a record-breaking volume of rainfall in the past 24 hours.

Till now, near about 35 people were killed across the state while 23 died in Mumbai alone. In Mumbai’s Malad, a wall got collapsed resulting in the killing of 23 people and injuring 78 others.
