To Avoid Clash With Padmaavat, Akshay Kumar’s Padman Release Postponed to 9 February

Akshay Kumar has reportedly postponed the release date of his upcoming movie, Padman to avoid a box office clash with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film Padmaavat. Trade analyst Komal Nahata said in a tweet:

“Padman release postponed to February 9. Padmaavat will be a solo release on January 25.”

Recently, Akshay sounded very hopeful regarding his movie, “I am already victorious with millions and millions of people talking about Padman on social media, men discussing with other men and asking each other whether they watched the Padman trailer and that it talks about sanitary pads. I am glad they are talking, they should know.”

According to a source that told Zoom magazine, “Bhansali met Akshay today and had a long chat with the actor. Keeping in mind all the difficulties that came in Padmaavat’s way, SLB has now requested Akshay to push the release date of PadMan.”

“It’s said that Akshay has a given a thought about the same and may consider Bhansali’s request.”
