The World is made of two kinds of people good and bad. Good are the ones who always appreciate others and the bad ones are the ones who better-called villains. But when it’s about the competition the good also become bad to retain the position one. This is what happened when ISRO launched its Mars Mission in 2014 successfully. It got a worldwide appreciation for its Mars Orbiter Mission or Mangalyaan.
I guess the New York Times didn’t digest it and cocked a snook at Mangalyaan by publishing a cartoon sketch that showed a turban-wearing man with a cow knocking at the door of “Elite Space Club”. However, the cartoon got criticized for being racist.
But as you know, the good and the bad thing about time is, It Changes! The table has turned in 2017 when India’s space agency ISRO launched a record-breaking 104 satellites from a single rocket on February 15. Out of the total 104 satellites placed in orbit, 101 satellites belonged to six foreign countries. They included 96 from the US and one each from Israel, the UAE, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and Kazakhstan.
The entire nation stood proudly at the amazing mission by India’s scientists. And the Times Of India didn’t take the time to give it back to New York Times. Yes, TOI took revenge from New York Times after three years over a racist cartoon about India’s mars Mission. They published exactly the same cartoon sketch but with totally opposite meaning.
So if you get it, don’t challenge us we Indians are best in giving it back in the best way!
