A rape case that filled the whole nation with rage was Delhi gangrape case also known as Nirbhaya gangrape case. various documentaries and films have showcased the story so far. And now, Netflix is all set to bring the Nirbhaya case, it recently released the trailer of ‘Delhi Crime’ based on dreadful Delhi’s Nirbhaya gangrape case 2012 and follows the investigation of the brutal case by the Delhi Police.
The trailer of the film starts with a police inspector playing by Shefali Shah, receiving a call about the heinous crime. It shocks her and she decided not to spare the dastard criminals at any cost. The most touching scene in the trailer is, Nirbhaya requesting the cops to not tell her father about the incident while is being carried to a hospital.
The story is written by Indo-Canadian filmmaker Richie Mehta. In the history of India, this case was one of the most horrifying rape cases. A young woman was brutally raped and assaulted by five men on a private bus in Delhi. This incident not only shook the nation but the world.
Along with Shefali Shah, the film stars Rasika Dugal, Adil Hussain, Gopal Datt, Vinod Sherawat and Rajesh Tailang. It will stream on Netflix from March 22, 2019.
