Donald Trump fired the largest non-nuclear bomb named ‘Mother of all bombs’ at ISIS fanatics in Afghanistan, but a military expert claims it was meant for someone else.
The feud between the US and North Korea is set to reach boiling point this weekend. Due to which military experts believe that North Korea will fire a missile during their Day of the Sun festival, celebrating the birth of the nation.
This is likely to be a nuclear bomb, and North Korea’s biggest ever test with chances it could be there deadly ICBM.
Donald Trump responded by launching airstrikes in Syria, in a chilling display of power. And former US army intelligence officer James Peek the launch of “mother of all bombs” was meant to frighten North Korea.
He said: “We are entering what perhaps might come close to a showdown between the US and the north. Pyongyang’s behaviour is steadily deteriorating under Kim Jong-un’s rule. The north has conducted three nuclear tests – out of five total in its history – in the short five-year span since Kim came to power. Two were held last year.”
Mr Peek added that if the bomb was meant for ISIS then it would have been fired at their strongholds in Syria and Iraq.
He also said: “That is why this attack was not meant for ISIS.”
“Instead, this bomb was meant for North Korea. It was designed during the Iraq War as a means to penetrate destroy underground nuclear facilities.”
