Twitter reacts India’s tactics in the warm-up game after players bat twice in single innings; Pujara bats for both sides

The warm-up game between India and Leicestershire seemed to be one of the most watched warm-up games after team India play by some “gully cricket” format after sending players to bat twice and also allowing Pujara to bat for both the teams. These bizarre moments were caught by the Twitterati to claim some funny comments on it.

When Thakur’s wicket fell, the first unusual event was the appearance of Cheteshwar Pujara, which wouldn’t have been all that strange except that Pujara had spent the majority of the game playing for Leicestershire, including fielding for them in the third innings alongside Jasprit Bumrah, Rishabh Pant, Prasidh Krishna, and other members of the India camp.

Twitter reacted quickly, but the strangeness continued when Pujara was replaced by Ravindra Jadeja after he had already batted for both teams. Jadeja too was batting for the second time in the same innings.   After another half-century, Kohli was given the boot and walked out to see Shreyas Iyer enter again. Even CricketBbuzz.com was able to explain it: Iyer was dismissed once more, this time for 32, becoming India’s ninth wicket.

Here is how fans reacted to the tactics of team India:
