Twitter has rolled out the view count for the tweets made by the users. Elon Musk verified the news that this latest feature will allow the users to keep a track of the actual view count. The platform previously introduced square profile picture for the brands. This feature was already available for the videos.
“Twitter is rolling out View Count, so you can see how many times a tweet has been seen! This is normal for video. Shows how much more alive Twitter is than it may seem, as over 90% of Twitter users read, but don’t tweet, reply or like, as those are public action,” mentioned Elon Musk in a tweet.
In a different tweet, he said that the tweets are being viewed and read more than 100 times than they are liked. Moreover the view count will be accessible for everyone not just the user who made the original tweet. As per the fresh norms this feature will be applied for new tweets not the already existing ones.
Earlier, Twitter brought in new Blue meant for Business subscription. The business ventures with this feature will be able to distinguish themselves from other using square profile pictures for brand promotion. Once verified the brands will be given a golden tick mark while the people associated with the brand will be allotted a blue checkmark.
