In the last 48 hours, 30 children have died at the Baba Raghav Das Medical College in Uttar Pradesh’s Gorakhpur district. Moreover, over the last 5 days, 60 children are dead. According to The Times Of India, State health minister Siddharth Nath Singh said: “We are probing all the angles – Was there a shortage? Whether the authorities were aware of this? Was there any other issue? Who is responsible? etc.”
He further added: “Those behind any kind of laxity will not be spared.”
On the other hand, UP’s medical education Minister Ashutosh Tondon has completely denied reports linking deaths to a disruption in the supply of oxygen. Also, the investigation report will be out within 24 hours.
Unfortunately, most of the news channels were busy carrying out the government propaganda on patriotism.
According to the Janta Ka Reporter, some news channels broadcasted shows on nationalism and some were busy promoting Akshay Kumar’s new release Toilet, Ek Prem Katha.
The managing editor of Times Now Navika Kumar said on her show, “The debate is on Vande Mataram, you are bringing up this issue because you are running away from ‘real’ issue.”
Twitter users mocked Navita because of her disgusting statement.

Also, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is silent on this incident and hasn’t posted any tweet or released any statement regarding this. Therefore, Twitter users also targetted him in a series of tweets:
