Utter shame, you may have heard the news that the US Marine Corps has posted the naked photos of their female colleagues on a secret Facebook page. This scandal is now expected far worse than the original. It appears the secret Facebook group being used to spread the illicit images is only the tip of the iceberg.
This Facebook page has naked photos of all the active US servicewomen from all the branches of the US military. These photos have been posted to an image-sharing board that dates back to May last year.
As per the reports, the site is called as AnonIB and has threaded conversations where men ask for “wins” referred to naked images of specific female soldiers. Sometimes the female soldiers are identified by whereabouts they are stationed. This scandal of naked photos of women associated with military forces was originally uncovered by journalist Thomas Brennan. After that, it went for an internal investigation.
According to the reports, this secret group on Facebook had nearly 30,000 followers. The group is believed to have been started first in January when the first female Marine infantry unit was assigned. However, since it becomes public, thousands of users have flocked to the AnonIB site.
Now, the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) is currently investigating the incident and reports that the photos have been taken down.
