Vaani Kapoor is going all out with the promotions of her forthcoming action movie ‘Shamshera’. She romances Ranbir Kapoor in this period drama and many individuals have been drawling parallels between Vaani and Katrina Kaif’s role in ‘Thugs Of Hindostan’.
In a recent interaction, Vaani Kapoor denied the comparisons and said, “No, because there’s only so much that you’ve seen in a trailer. One must perceive way more than one can understand from the trailer or the song that has come out. But there’s an entirely different arc for my character. I can say with conviction that it’s a very different film. I’ve seen Thugs of Hindostan, and I’ve worked on my film, and there’s no comparison.” She likewise proceeded to laud Katrina and added, “She is a wonderful dancer, actor, everything, and I’m glad. If you’re comparing me, please compare me to her beauty. I would be very happy. But I know that my part is written in a different way and the subject in the film is very different from that one.”
Helmed by Karan Malhotra, ‘Shamshera’ features Ranbir in the lead role while Sanjay Dutt portrays the antagonist. This massive entertainer is scheduled for release on July 22, 2022.
