According to official sources, Indian Railways is about to make a big stride since it is on track to accomplish a historic feat: the 14-minute cleaning wonder for every Vande Bharat train.
The renowned for their indigenization Vande-Bharat trains are outfitted with state-of-the-art amenities for travellers to provide a quicker, more pleasant, and incredibly convenient travel experience.
These trains will be covered by the “14-minute miracle” programme, which is scheduled to be introduced on October 1 at Terminal Stations throughout the Indian Railways as part of the “Swachhata-Hi-Seva” campaign, according to Ministry of Railways sources.
The Delhi Cantt Railway Station will serve as the site of the program’s official debut.
This new initiative by Indian Railways, which imitates the quick cleaning practises seen in Japan’s Bullet Trains, which attain a cleaning time of 7 minutes, is set to raise the standards for train cleanliness. Top Ministry of Railways officials told ANI that a procedure that used to take 3–4 hours will now just take 15 minutes.
According to the reports, a specialised crew of four cleaning personnel would focus on cleaning each coach of the Vande Bharat train. These employees have undergone lengthy, over a month-long training programmes to prepare them for the painstakingly designed manual cleaning procedure. Their abilities have been further honed through several mock exercises, assuring a smooth execution of the speedy cleaning procedure.
The semi-high-speed Vande Bharat Trains, which are well-known for their service, first started running between Delhi and Varanasi in February 2019. 68 Vande Bharat train services are now running across the nation.
