Netizens Slammed Veere Di Wedding Starcast For Not Commenting on Saroj Khan’s Casting Couch Remark And Supporting The Only Rape Victim Asifa

Veere Di Wedding mired in a controversy now! It seems social media users are not in the mood to accept ‘Veere Di Wedding’ with open arms and demand the boycott of the movie. Social media thinks Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s stand on Kathua rape case was only according to the idea of promoting their film or was ‘selective’.

Earlier, amid the growing outrage over the rape of Asifa in Kathua, celebrities including Kareena, Swara and Sonam had joined the campaign #JusticeForOurChild, to demand justice. Now, social media is slamming the actresses calling their move as hypocritical. Their anger emerges from the actresses’ alleged silence on a recent rape incident. Social media users also alleging that the actor’s selective outrage show their motive to malign a certain religion.

Not only this, along with that Twitteratis are also angry over the Bollywood Divas’ silence over veteran choreographer Saroj Khan’s shocking remark on casting couch where she defended it.

During the trailer launch when Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhasker and Kareena Kapoor were asked to comment on Saroj Khan controversy, their first reaction was to laugh then to keep tossing the question to each other in an attempt to dodge it. Eventually, Swara said,

“The question has no relation to ‘Veere Di Wedding’, we will talk about all of this somewhere else,” Swara had said.

She was then joined by Sonam Kapoor who said,

Sonam said, “Every question which is not related to the film, all of us, I, Swara, we will answer this on a one-on-one basis,” “On Twitter,” Swara added to Sonam’s sentence.

However, two days down the line, there are still no reactions from the actresses on the casting couch shocker.
