“Very few of them get the taste of success”: Saanand Verma on depression involved in the showbiz

Hindi film actor Saanand Verma who was recently seen in the movie Babli Bouncer disclosed the harsh reality that goes behind the making of an actor. He mentioned that showbiz has made artists prone to depression and anxiety. The actor said, “The entertainment industry is the most insecure industry and depression and anxiety is far more visible in this industry. As it’s a show business we are in the news so people keep on looking for different kinds of issues that come with the people in the entertainment industry. There are many people who are capable of making news in the industry.”

He added, “Since it is a glamour industry, everyone likes to read about it. That’s why depression and anxiety is felt more here. There are easy targets and people feel mental sick very quickly because of high levels of stress. Here very less percentage of strugglers become successful. Very few of them get the taste of success”.

The actor who is often for his exclusive comic relief in the films came up responsibly on Mental health. He averred that, “Mental health means everything to me. If you are mentally healthy then everything will be fine. Unfortunately, it’s true that people regard physical health more important than mental health. But in reality, mental health is more important than anything else. Being mentally healthy helps you to obtain physical health. People should be very careful about it and take care of their mental health. It’s important to ignore things that create mental tension. Anything that creates negativity should be avoided. When I feel that I get worked up then I just take care of that thing. I make sure to ignore things that trigger my anger. When I feel low, I hate myself and I always ignore things and focus on the goodness of life and positive things. I am capable of keeping myself happy in any situation of life and that*s the greatest blessing that I have”.

Saanand affirmed his statement by saying that it is imperative that we adhere to the aforementioned steps to lead a balanced life and have a stable mind and healthy body.
