A viral video of KL Rahul and Jhulan Goswami sparring in the nets at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru has gone viral. Goswami is seen in the surfaced clip bowling Rahul a” fuller length delivery on the stumps” and then a short ball outside off stump. KL Rahul played both deliveries perfectly, hitting a cover drive on the first one and cutting the second one on the off side with his back foot.
KL Rahul has been at the NCA following his successful surgery in Germany. The player had been absent from South Africa’s five-match T20I series in June of this year. A groin injury caused him to withdraw from the series just before he was going to captain the Indian side in Rohit Shama’s absence.
Rahul’s last competitive cricket match was in the Indian Premier League in 2022. He had this year’s event led by the debutant Lucknow Super Giants. LSG advanced to Qualifier 2 of the IPL 2022 under Rahul’s direction, where they were defeated by Rajasthan Royals by 7 wickets. Gujarat Titans, a second newbie team, eventually won the title by defeating Rajasthan Royals by seven wickets.
