With almost 700 visitors, the family of criminal mafia boss Dawood Ibrahim commended the wedding of his nephew to the girl of a local businessman in Mumbai the previous evening. Invitees had been told that cell phones would not be permitted at the gathering at a five-star inn. NDTV has gotten to a video of the occasion, which was carefully investigated by the Mumbai police.
The groom was Alishah Parkar, whose mother, Haseena, was Dawood Ibrahim’s sister who died two years back. The wedding or ‘nikaah’ service was held at a mosque in the morning, hours ahead of the reception ceremony. Family sources have not uncovered if Dawood Ibrahim, who lives in Karachi, saw the ceremony on Skype. Family sources had said that the criminal’s sibling, Iqbal Kaskar, who was granted bail in a blackmail case a year ago, was to go to the nikkah. In any case, sources say he was not at the gathering the previous evening.
Dawood Ibrahim, 60, fled India after he was blamed for subsidizing and coordinating 1993’s collective uproars in Mumbai in which 257 individuals were slaughtered and more than 700 got injured. Regardless of such fact, he controls D Company, a wrongdoing syndicate with immeasurable organizations in murder, extortion and weapons-smuggling.
