Vikram Bhatt told his daughter to quit school when she was in ninth grade. 22 year old, Krishna Bhatt said: “Well, my dad always told me that if you don’t want to go in a certain direction then why pursue it? I wanted to become a director and so my dad asked me to quit school when I was in my ninth grade.”
On the other hand, Krishna’s mother pushed her towards studies, “Mom would tell dad that I should study otherwise people would tag me ‘uneducated’. He wanted me to leave school and work instead. Unfortunately I scored well in my tenth grade and so I thought of clearing my 12th boards as well.”
Krishna also shared her bollywood journey, “I would sit with my dad for film edits ever since I was 13 years old. When I turned 17 I started assisting him on sets. From giving claps to taking care of costumes I did it all as an assistant director on my dad’s films like Raaz Reboot, 1920, Creature 3D, Haunted etc.”
Dream to direct Shah Rukh Khan
Krishna concluded: “My dream is to say ‘action’ to Shah Rukh Khan, I really hope I get to direct him and also the very talented Alia Bhatt very soon.”
