Veteran actor Vikram Gokhale, who is predominantly seen in Hindi and Marathi cinema, was hospitalized in Pune earlier this week the reason of the deteriorated condition is still unknown. According to the reports his condition is still critical and have worsened over the past few days.
On Wednesday evening, news agency PTI had stated that the actor has been “admitted to Pune’s Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital a few days back”. The 77-year-old few years ago in 2016 he had retired from Marathi theatre due to severe throat issues.
According to a report by Marathi news outlet Navshakti the veteran actor was brought to the hospital recently but his condition stabilized after treatment. Nonetheless the situation worsened with time and he still remains in a severe condition. Neither the hospital authority nor the family members have disclosed the health status of the actor yet.
The actor made his film debut at the tender age of 26 alongside Amitabh Bachchan in Parwana in 1971. He is critically appreciated for his feature in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Agneepath, and Khuda Gawah. He is also awarded with the prestigious National Award for Best Actor in 2010 for his performance in Anumati.
He last appeared in Nikamma which was released this year in June.
