At the Grace Road Stadium in Leicester, where India and Leicestershire were playing a warm-up game, former India captain Virat Kohli got into a war of words with a few spectators. The pacer Kamlesh Nagarkoti, who is travelling to England with the Indian team was abused and taunted by the spectator beca the former captain thought the fan was taunting and abusing Kamlesh.
For his treatment of the young quick, a supporter is seen being silenced by Kohli. Nagarkoti received repeated requests from the fan for a photo. The fan said that since he had taken time off work to attend the game, Nagarkoti should have agreed for a picture.
The fifth Test between India and England, which was scheduled for the trip in 2021, is currently being prepared for. Due to a Covid-19 pandemic in the Indian camp, the fifth Test was postponed to 2022.
Thanks to wins at Lord’s and the Oval, India now leads the series 2-1. At Headingley, England won after the first game was tied.
Team India will be completing their warm-up match today against Leicestershire and Dravid and management will surely bring in some plans before England gets a break after the Kiwi series.
KL Rahul was earlier stated as injured and his unavailability for the final Test clash caused team India some harm after knowing that there will be no more opening batsman in the squad.
