Virat Kohli’s love-hate affair with Australian fans is well known. Kohli is known for playing the sport aggressively. The incident happened during the ongoing 2nd test match between India and Australia. Kohli was sent back to the dressing room after unsuccessfully reviewing an lbw decision given by the umpire Nigel Llong.
The TV umpire Richard Kettleborough told field umpire, Nigel, that he could find no conclusive evidence that the ball had struck bat before pad. Kohli showed his disappointment as he walked off the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.
The sweet-bitter relationship between Kohli and Australia was started when Kohli toured Australia for the first time in 2011-2012. He had shown his middle finger to the Sydney crowd during that tour.
Kohli is often regarded as one of the best batsmen in the world. He was ranked eighth on ESPN’s list of world’s most famous athletes in 2016.
