This is the big question of the hour that who is going to be the new coach of Indian cricket team. For this, BCCI has shortlisted six names including Virender Sehwag, Anil Kumble, Tom Moody, Richard Pybus, Lalchand Rajput and Dodda Ganesh and these will be interviewed by the interviewed by the three-member cricket advisory committee (CAC) of the board.
This three-member cricket advisory committee (CAC) comprises of Sachin Tendulkar, Saurav Ganguly and VVS Laxman. Initially, Anil Kumble was the most preferred choice of the committee but then there were consistent reports of there being trust issues between the players and the coach.
Out of these 6 choices for the role, it is said that Indian Captain, Virat Kohli still prefers Ravi Shastri as the coach of the Indian team. If news are to be believed, before heading towards Champions Trophy in London, Virat met Sachin and Laxman and told them to consider Ravi Shastri in the list of names nominated for new Indian Coach designation. But Shastri who was denied the position last time hasn’t filed his application.
However, as per the reports, CAC will only interview Kumble, Sehwag, Moody and Pybus, Rajput and Dodda Ganesh. The interview process would start from either Thursday evening or Friday onwards.
