Vivek Oberoi opens up about his role in ‘Kaduva’

Actor Vivek Oberoi is a familiar face for the Malayalam audience. Vivek, who was last seen in ‘Lucifer’ will be next seen in ‘Kaduva’ helmed by Shaji Kailas. He has roped in to portray the role of DIG Joseph Chandy IPS in ‘Kaduva’. The team is right now on a promotional spree, and talking about his character Vivek Oberoi said, “Joseph is a dignified, educated, classic man. He has the kind of power and authority, the uniform gives him. He is an honest cop. He is a good Christian who loves to go to church every Sunday. He is a pillar of society, he is a good father, good husband, and a wonderful son.” As per timesofindia.indiatimes.com.

When inquired about what he found peculiar about the character, Vivek Oberoi divulged, “What I loved about Joseph’s character is to see that one sin, which is the sin of arrogance and ego, and how it becomes sort of a virus in his mind and corrupts him. He could have sorted the issue he has with Kuruvachan, however, the arrogance drives him to go down a negative spiral.”

Talknig about his experience working with the team, Vivek Oberoi said, “I love the experience of working here (Malayalam movies). And working with a legendary director like Shaji Kailas was an amazing experience. It was a dream team to work with. Also, the role of Joseph was exciting for me. I learned a new word – Pala Achayan. It was fun playing that character, understanding the culture, and working with the ensemble cast.”

‘Kaduva’ helmed by Shaji Kailas will be releasing on July 7, worldwide.
