WandaVision ripple effect will be felt in Captain Marvel 2 & Doctor Strange 2

Finally, the events surrounding the antics of Wanda Maximoff aka Scarlet Witch and her boyfriend Vision around the town of Westview have come to an end with the season finale of WandaVision . But that doesn’t mean that the various character stories on the show are over. Series director Matt Shakman recently confirmed in an interview that storylines will be addressed in future MCU films, especially the sequels to Captain Marvel and Doctor Strange .

“What’s beautiful about Marvel, and I’ve told a few people that… it feels like a relay race, you know, where somebody gives you the baton and you run with it. And then you pass that cookie to It’s not like you’re reverse-engineering your product to fit it into something bigger or something that’s already been established. WandaVision was at the center of our minds as we made it, and the choices we made were then passed on to others. The way we decided to portray Monica’s power, all of that, will continue in Captain Marvel 2. ”

Monica Rambeau first appeared in Captain Marvel as a tween , before appearing as an adult and normal
WandaVision human. By the end of the series, Monica had acquired some superpowers, and it’s clear that the character’s journey will continue in
Captain Marvel 2 , where she will team up with Carol Danvers and Kamala Khan.
The other big MCU movie to feel the impact of WandaVision will be the next Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness .
We already know that the movie will see Wanda assisting the Supreme Wizard on a journey through the multiverse, possibly to solve an issue created by Wanda’s madness with the cursed magical book known as Darkhold.
According to Matt Shakman , it was important to have the look and feel of WandaVision ‘s ending match as closely as possible with the start of Doctor Strange 2.

“You have the option of organizing the furniture while you have control of the set, and then it goes.
But we certainly spoke to the filmmakers for the two films that we go through more directly.
Doctor Strange, their story room is just around the corner from our prep office so we talked a lot and then later, once we got close to the end of our photographs and Strange was really about to begin, I spoke to Sam Raimi.
on several occasions and our art departments spoke and we wanted to make sure there was a flawless transfer for sure.
Written by Jac Schaeffer and directed by Matt Shakman,
