Kapil Sharma’s much-awaited movie Zwigato, produced by Applause Entertainment is all set for its world premiere at the famous 47th Toronto International Film Festival. Written and directed by Nandita Das, the film showcases Kapil as a new food delivery rider, who is surveying the world of the gig economy. Alongside Kapil, the film also features Shahana Goswami, who will be seen playing Kapil’s wife. She is a homemaker who starts to work for the very first time. So that he can support her husband’s income. The film set in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, is all about the struggles that an ‘ordinary’ family deals with in the post-pandemic.
Kapil is quite excited about the film and taking to his Instagram handle the comedian wrote, “Applause Entertainment and Nandita Das Initiatives are proud to announce that our film Zwigato, written and directed by Nandita Das starring Kapil Sharma and Shahana Goswami, will have its World premiere at the prestigious 47th Toronto International Film Festival [TIFF] 2022 in the ‘Contemporary World Cinema’ section.”
