WhatsApp developers to introduce new feature: shortcut to block chat within notifications

WhatsApp developers have recently come up with a fresh feature to the Beta version of the software which will allow the users to block anyone from the chat list. According to a report by WABetaInfo, the developers have been also working on creating a shortcut that could block the added contacts from notifications.

One of the highlighting factors of this feature is that it will only permit to block notifications when you receive a message from an anonymous user otherwise it won’t be visible to use. This is in a way helpful as otherwise you might block someone while also replying to the second person from the given notification panel.

It is somewhat made clear that the new feature will be available to users who have already signed in for the WhatsApp Beta program, thus it might take some time before it is being launched on your device. Earlier, the developers have introduced an array of features such as the provision to share media with captions, backend support for the proxy servers and the provision to report status. It had also ensured an end-to-end encrypted chat, call and status indicators for better user experience.
