Virat Kohli has been ruled out of the fourth and the final Test against Australia after he failed to recover from the shoulder injury. In Kohli’s absence, Ajinkya Rahane will lead India in the series decider. This is the first time that Kohli has missed a Test match in his career due to injury.
In a pre-match conference on Friday, Kohli had said that he is not different from anyone else. There is no special treatment for anyone in the team, he will go to the field only if he is 100 percent fit. The rules apply to everyone and they are the same for everyone.
Kohli had injured his shoulder during Australia’s first innings during the 3rd test match. The four-match series is currently tied 1-1. Kohli had scored his first century in a test during the Australian tour in January 2012.
In the first Test of the 2014-15, Border-Gavaskar Trophy, he made 115 and 141 runs and became the fourth Indian player to score centuries in both the innings of a Test match and was appointed as the captain of the Test team during the series and became the first player to score centuries in each of his first three Test innings as captain.
