At the time Bad Boys came out, both actors had a successful sitcom on the tube: Lawrence’s was called Martin and was especially popular in America, but The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air was (and is) a huge hit worldwide. When the two were brought together, it generated worldwide revenues of more than $ 100 million, against a mere budget of $ 19 million. This was followed by Bad Boys II in 2003 and last year Bad Boys for Life .

And since Bad Boys is still extremely popular, it’s not surprising that Smith and Lawrence are celebrating the franchise’s 26th anniversary.
