Three mild quakes hit Himachal Pradesh on Saturday morning.
According to National Centre of Seismology, three earthquakes measuring 4.6, 4.3 and 4.2 on Richter Scake struck Himachal Pradesh between 6.30 am and 9.30 am.
Three medium intensity earthquakes, epicentered in Kullu region of Himachal Pradesh today jolted the Himalayan state in span of nearly two hours .
The epicentre of both the quakes was in Kullu.
According to National Centre of Seismology, a unit of Ministry of Earth Sciences, the first quake measuring 4.6 on Richter scale occurred at 6.44 AM at a depth of 10 kilometres.
The second quake measured 4.3 at Richter scale occurred at 7.05 AM at the same depth.
The third quake measured 4.2 at Richter scale.
There were no immediate reports of loss life or damage to property.
The Himalayan belt of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh are some of the earthquake-prone regions of the world.
