A 25-year-old woman software engineer of Infosys named K Rasila Raju was choked to death by an unknown person at her work area in Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park in Hinjawadi, Pune on Sunday.
The whole incident took place on the ninth floor of the Infosys building. She was strangled to death with the help of a computer wire.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Vaishali Jadhav has said-:
“She was found dead on the ninth floor of the building in the conference room. Primary probe suggests that she has been strangulated with a cable of the computer. We have been told that she was to make a phone call to her colleagues based in Bengaluru on a project. But after she did not answer the call, the firm’s security officers were informed and when they went to check on her, they found her lying dead,”
He further added-:
“The incident might have taken place around 5 PM but we received a call around 8 PM. Raju was employed as a software engineer by the firm,”
Moreover, Police arrested a security guard working at the campus in connection with the murder. Bhaben Saikia (security guard) was arrested from Mumbai on a Monday morning. The victim had an injury on her face and constriction marks on the neck.
