A 26-year-old woman jumped from a 20 feet high balcony in east Delhi’s Pandav Nagar to escape five men who allegedly raped her for hours. All accused have been arrested by the police. The incident occurred on Saturday when the woman, who lives with her two children in south Delhi, was picked up by Vikas (one of the accused) and was taken to a flat in Pandav Nagar area.
According to the NDTV, Joint Commissioner of Police, Ravindra Yadav said: “The woman left with him and on the way met two of his friends. The three brought her to the flat where their other friends were already present. She was gang raped by all of them.”
He added: She objected and tried to get away by jumping off the balcony of the first-floor apartment. One of the passersby reportedly informed the police. The woman suffered minor injuries in her legs and was admitted to the Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital for medical treatment and examination.
The five accused worked in different private call centers in Noida.
