The girlfriend of Joshua Davies from Toowoomba, Queensland who died last year suddenly in August has expressed his last wish in the court. The young woman who harvested her boyfriend’s sperm immediately after his death is asked the court to finally allow her to start the family that her boyfriend had always wanted.
Joshua Davis forced his devastated girlfriend Ayla Cresswell to ask a court if she could keep his sperm viable, the time when he was dying. To fulfill his last wish, the 24 years old Ms Creswell now will continue her legal bid to win permission to use the sperm of his late boyfriend to start the family-of-three that she and Joshua had always dreamed of, the sources claimed.
Ms. Creswell was given permission by Supreme Court Justice Martin Burns to have Mr Davies’ ‘testes and any spermatozoa’ harvested. In a statement given by her in the court, she said, “Joshua told me that he was very excited at the prospect of being a father, and we often talked about having children, and the effect it would have on our lives.”
Now the couple’s dream seems to come true eventually. With Joshua’s sperm having been held by an IVF clinic since his death, Ms Creswell is now ready to begin proceedings to insert her boyfriend’s sperms in her body to start a family.
