You have heard boozy yoga, hot yoga and goat yoga but until this moment you may not have seen the most empowering form of the yoga – Nude Yoga. The anonymous photographer and model popularly known as Nude Yoga Girl have been posting artistic, tasteful and nude portraits of herself striking up super challenging yoga poses.
According to the Cosmopolitan, Nude Yoga Girl said:
“The message of my account is, ‘You are beautiful exactly the way you are. Showing nudity in a non-sexual way felt like a new way to support the message.”
Nude Yoga girl further added: “It’s much more than just the actual photo. I think about it as an experience to really connect with your body, be there with it in a natural way. It’s the positive experience, photo, and caption together. To know that people have really taken time to connect with themselves and celebrate their unique bodies. The empowering feeling they get from it. That makes me happy.”
With every photo, the nude yoga girl also posted heartfelt captions. For the following collage, she wrote: “I’m 20 days clean from self harm, suicidal ideations, & mind/mood alternating substances. diagnosed with borderline personality disorder. 25 years old. You give me this inspiration to love myself, even with what I did. That took A LOT for me to take and send those pictures to you.”
In this photo I feel more naked than in many others before. That's because I wanted to keep this photo as raw as possible. After my last color photo and your comments, I wanted to try to do photos in which you can see a more raw version of myself… even if it makes me feel vulnerable here. Before I thought I just created art. #NYGyoga
Sometimes mistakes turn to be good ones even if we don't try to see any positives in it. ❤ Little example. I forgot thr keys inside my home today. So I couldn't get back in before my boyfriend arrived from work which was many hours later. As a result I needed to change my plans for the day. First I was a bit sad because I couldn't go to yoga class (because I didn't have the clothes with me) etc.. But I had plenty of time to walk around my new home area. I found nice (and useful) places which would otherwise take maybe many weeks to find. So at the end this little mistake made me happy. 😊 ❤ Sometimes it's just good to break routines and plans. I think our mind stricts ourselves to familiar things. When there is space for positive surprises, they can happen or something great can be found. ❤️
