Travellers here’s a guide for you! If you are on an expedition and trying to find something out of this world then Jordan is the place of your choice. If you are a person who would prefer a warm home-stay with a welcoming host then the world’s tiniest hotel is welcoming you!
The 64 years old Mohammed Al Malaheem a.k.a Abu Ali tries to give tourists a 5-star experience in the Jordanian desert town of Al Jaya. Even as his neighbors vacated the deserted (Ha!) town one by one – Abu Ali decided to stay back and converted his VW Beetle into a cosy hotel. In the year 2011 after getting retired from his job, Abu Ali’s daughter helped to redesign the car’s interiors with handmade embroidered sheets and pillows.
This tiniest hotel in Al Jaya attracts every tourist. Guests are served coffee, tea and Jordanian snacks made by Abu Ali’s daughter. Tourists get a whole five-star experience for a night in the desert that costs only $56 (₹ 3641 approximately).
So what are you waiting for? Pack your bags as Jordan is calling!
