World War 3: Asia On Alert As North Korea Fires Missile At Japan And South Korea Drops Bombs On Border With North Korea

North Korea fired a missile from Pyongyang towards the Sea of Japan. It was a ballistic missile and the whole act has brought the formidable prospect of World War 3 even closer. The Japnese government has issued J-Alert warning system across the cities such as Aomori, Akita, Hokkaido, Niigata, Tochigi, Fukushima, Yamagata, Nagano and Ibaraki.

The missile passed over Japanese territory and is thought to have fallen into waters 1,180km east of Cape Erimo on the island of Hokkaido.

According to the Daily Express, Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said: “We will make utmost efforts to firmly protect the lives of the people.”

Japan Started Evacuation Drills

A student at Hokkaido University, Joe Narsiso, said that Japan can not do anything about it, Even after doing evacuation drills or there were several places which were designated as the evacuation centers but once the missile would hit people should make up their mind that it is actually happening.

South Korea Dropped 8 Heavy Bombs

Meanwhile, South Korea has dropped 8 heavy bombs near the border with North Korea. The South Korean government is trying to threaten the Kim-Jong’s regime that they would be punished heavily.

Four F-15K fighter-bombers fired bombs and all of them hit their targets at a testing ground on South Korean soil.

US Continue To Seek A Peaceful Resolution

Yesterday, US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said: “We do view [the missile tests] as a provocative act against the United States and our allies. We’re going to continue our peaceful pressure campaign, working with allies, working with China as well to see if we can bring the regime in Pyongyang to the negotiating table.”
