The film that got postponed due to COVID-19 is back on floors with Alia Bhatt. As per the reports, the shooting for the film based on a story from Kamathipura will resume this month in October. And now as per the reports. Sanjay picked up the shoot exactly from where he had left it. Earlier Alia Bhatt was spotted outside Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s office in the past few months, to discuss the project. But now the actress and the team have been reporting to the set by 7 pm.
Alia’s role in the Film
It seems like Alia has planned to experiment with a different role this time. As she will be seen stepping into the shoes of legendary brothel owner Gangubai Kathiawadi in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film. The film is based on Gangubai Kathiawadi who ran a (brothel) in the Kamathipura area of Mumbai. And was pushed into prostitution at a very young age. She later made strong connections in the world of crime. That later turned her into one of the ‘Mafia Queens.
