One of the most well-known performers in both India and Pakistan is the singer Atif Aslam. Atif Aslam unexpectedly lost his composure during his US concert and had to halt it in the middle of it.
The musician can be seen playing on stage in the trending video while being surrounded by a swarm of bills. He stopped the show even longer and reprimanded the fan who was throwing notes at him.
“My friend, instead of showering money at me, you can donate it. I know you are rich, I appreciate your wealth, but the act of showering money can be seen as disrespectful. It’s disrespect to the money,” he mentioned.
Social media users responded to the video shortly after it became viral. Some commenters praised the artist for his thoughtfulness, while others had issue with it. A user posted, “Exactly. Even throwing money, putting it in mouth and giving it during wedding, especially baraat and Sangeet dances is such an insult to money.” Another added, “He’s a solid guy and I agree. You should never throw money. However rich you could be.” A comment read, “What’s a big deal.”
In the past, there have been other instances when fans have gone too far and burdened artists with arbitrary charges. A video of a female fan throwing her bracelet on Taylor Swift went viral in August. Another incident was a fan who spilt a drink on Cardi B, to which the singer angrily smashed her mike.
A similar event occurred when a female fan pulled Arijit Singh’s hands during his performance. Singh disciplined the fan for her actions and dealt with her in a kind manner.
