Christopher Nolan has launched a nerve-wrecking trailer of his latest film titled Oppenheimer. The film revolves around the life events of physicist J. He was also the director of the Los Alamos Laboratory which engaged in the assembling of the bomb and also contributed to the Manhattan project, a government project on manufacturing of nuclear weapons during 1942-1946.
The trailer features Cillian Murphy as Oppenheimer. He was earlier seen playing the lead in Nolan’s films which included Inception, Batman Begins, Dunkirk among others. The ensemble include Florence Pugh as Jean Tatlock, Emily Blunt as Kitty Oppenheimer, Robert Downey Jr. as Lewis Strauss, Matt Damon as Leslie Groves Jr., Gary Oldman as Harry S. Truman, as well as Rami Malek, Kenneth Branagh, Benny Safdie, Dane DeHaan, Jack Quaid, Matthew Modine, Alden Ehrenreich, Josh Peck, Jason Clarke, David Dastmalchian, Alex Wolff, James D’Arcy among others.
The story is based on the classic American novel Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy authored by Kai Bird and the late Marin J. Sherwani. The film is helmed and bankrolled by Nolan himself, backed with co-producers, Charles Raven, and Emma Thomas.
Oppenheimer is set to hit the theatres on July 21, 2023.
